The meaning of the name Omaré™
We are often asked if our trademark name Omaré™ has a specific meaning. It certainly does and in fact, the name was created to pay hommage to the centuries-old thalassotherapy and algotherapy traditions of the magnificent Brittany region of France.
The French word for water is "eau" pronounced "OH". The French word for ocean "tides" is "marée", pronounced "MA-RAY". The name Omaré therefore phonetically symbolises the North Atlantic Ocean tidal waters off the Brittany coast of France, waters rich in the wide variety of saltwater algae used in Omaré products.
